Yvonne's journey with plant medicine began as a means of healing from an emotionally challenging divorce and physical pain due to a diagnosis of Compartmental Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) that occurred in the same year. As a woman of faith, she has found healing, transformation, and purpose through her spiritual journey. She leads retreats tailored for women over 50, as well as mother-daughter/son and father-son/daughter groups, along with general retreats. In her retreats, Yvonne incorporates Yoga MFR®, Myofascial Release Unwinding, and Despachos to facilitate mind, body, and spiritual healing and transformation.

Yvonne firmly believes that humans possess the potential to heal their bodies and minds and discover their purpose. She emphasizes transforming our inner sanctuary—our temple—to find happiness and connection to the divine. Regardless of our past, she advocates that healing is accessible in the present moment.
